LSZip Update
There is a nasty bug in the Windows Explorer built-in UNZIP feature (all Windows versions, including Windows 7). Under certain circumstances, if the .zip file stores path names, there will be no files shown in the .zip archive even though the .zip file has a large size. You can "see" the files using other zip applications (e.g. WinZip, PowerZip, WinRAR, etc.) but not with Windows Explorer. The built-in Windows UNZIP feature is not 100% compatible with the 2.04g standard. Lindersoft has modified the LSZip library to work around this. An updated set of DLLs (v2.9.9.5) will be used in the upcoming SetupBuilder 7.2 update. If you are using LSZip and you would like to test the new DLLs, please send an email to Lindersoft support.

C7 And The Demise Of The Batch Compiler
3/10/2009 12:00:00 AM
Clarion 7's support for multi-APP solutions is supposed to do away with the need for batch compilers. By including all the .APP files called by the app I'm working on, in theory you do not have to ensure that referenced .APPs have already been compiled. Steve Parker explores the current reality of mult-project solutions.
