More OSCON to come

OSCON has wrapped up, and I'm working on getting a number of reports up on the site. Some of these will be free access, others will be subscriber-only.

I was quite impressed by the conference organization and the quality of speakers. There was a fair bit of meat there even for someone like me coming from the Clarion world (thought with an admitted bias toward certain open source tools such as Java.) I mainly followed the database track, which for the most part meant PostgreSQL and MySQL. I can't say I even heard Firebird mentioned, which surprised me a little.

The keynote addresses were generally informative, frequently entertaining, and in one case tear-wipingly funny.

More coverage on the way! But as I'm going to be back on the road next week, I probably won't get the last items posted until the second week of August.
