"And in this economy, every dollar counts...." you say. I do not hope that you are going to do this a lot of times.... There are many developers who earn a lot of money, but there are also smaller companies.

There's no doubt that Clarion Magazine's subscription rates are on the way up. But there's also a lot of new value being added to ClarionMag on a regular basis.
My advice to anyone concerned about the price increases is to subscribe/renew now!
If any of you are unsure of when your subscription expires, just log on to the My ClarionMag page.

One article or code snippet that saves you a couple of hours allows Cmag pay for itself. I've never sold an application, I program for a hobby and my own use, and my subscription now runs into 2015. As long as people with more knowledge about Clarion than I have (everyone?) keep writing and posting articles on Cmag, I'll stay subscribed. To me it's one heck of a value (roughly $10-$12/month). I spend more than that on coffee.

I've extended the deadline one last time because we had a delay in getting out some notification emails. Monday is the very last day.

I think Clarion Magazine is an invaluable and cost-effective resource. I consider it an essential part of my professional activities and one of the main sources of information and education that keeps me in the loop.
Other professionals (accountants, lawyers etc.) subscribe to journals relevant to them. Clarion Mag is the Journal for Clarion Professionals and in my opinion gives excellent value for money and would be missed it if it wasn't available.
Professionals need a source of high standard information and reference materials. Clarion Magazine provides that through the Journal itself and the publication of technical reference works such as the printed books and e-books. Given that the Clarion community is effectively a niche sub-set of the I.T. industry, this is not the sort of repository or resource that is easily created and managed for free.
Thanks
